G P RATING:
On successful completion of this course the candidates will be able to join as a G P RATING in Indian & foreign Shipping Companies as a GP crew and he can work deck or engine crew. With further sea service, they will be promoted as BOSUN, ABLE BODIED SEAMEN, OILER. They can also be promoted to officer level with certain service & qualification requirements. There are wide job opportunities for our Indian Seamen all over the world. As you must be aware about the DGS Order No. 08 to 2011 on 30.06.2011, Now for the admission of GP Rating (Pre Sea Training) you have to appear for CET (Common Entrance Test) conducted by D G Shipping, Govt. of India. The CET will consist of Written Test followed by a physical endurance test and subsequently by a psychometric test also.

Age: 17.5 to 25 yrs.

DECK CADET:
On successful completion of this course the trainees can join as a DECK CADET on board in a ship (Indian / Foreign Shipping Companies). With further sea service and post sea training program, the nautical cadets can appear for the second mate examination. After passing they will be joining as navigational watch keeping officer as second mate onboard a ship. With further sea service, they will be promoted to CHIEF OFFICER & then MASTER (Captain) of the ship.

Physical Status: Applicant must possess good health as per latest M. S. Rule Eye-sight: 6/6 without spectacles, without colour blindness.
PREPARATORY COURSE DESCRIPTION: We at Global Pacific Shipping & Marine Services will assist you to clear the above test with excellent grades and for that we are conducting a 30 days’ workshop which includes a preparatory classes about English (Grammar, Composition, Vocabulary etc.), Mathematics (Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, etc.), Science (Physics, Chemistry, Technology, etc.), Communication Skills & Personality Development workshop and Career Counselling on Merchant Navy .
During this course candidates will be trained for the 'CET' (Common Entrance Test). By practising the skills of reading, listening, speaking and writing with mock exam papers, the students become familiar with the form the exercises take and the answering techniques. The tutor gives feedback on the speaking and writing exercises so that the students learn what they have to look out for to gain an excellent result. On exam day they should not come across any unpleasant surprises! Participants receive a certificate at the end of the course.
