This 4 pre-sea course imparts comprehensive training in shipboard practice. It comprises of academics and ship familiarization along with Marine Workshop training (as per IMO modules). Then the candidate will sail as an Engine Cadet with stipend.
On a training program lasting approximately 4 months. Working to gain sea time. Receives structured training and experience on board. They assist and understudy the ship's engineer officers in their duties
B.E / B.TECH (EEE) from a College recognized by AICTE with 50% marks in final year, 50% in English in 10th / +2 / Degree
It should not exceed 27 yrs. on the date of commencement of training.
Medically fit with eyesight 6/6, without external aids and color blindness
